Choosing the right frame will depend on the project, slate frames are traditionally used in couture beading and provide a perfect solid drum like effect with the fabric. Our slate frames are custom made in Australia, made from Tasmanian Oak a hardwood that doesn’t bow over time. Rotating embroidery frames rotate the fabric around the roller creating tension in a different way. 12” frames are a great start for a complete beginner as the surface tension area is smaller so less mistakes can be made.
