Melbourne Intermediate Couture Beading Course May 24-25th 2025

This is a unique opportunity to learn Intermediate level Tambour beading and Couture embellishment with Couture Dress designer Charlotte Appleby in Melbourne!

This 2 day intermediate course follows on from the beginners course giving further techniques within the broderie des arts and how to apply it to a set design. The techniques surround a faberge egg covering shadow-work to create colour changes and blocking on fine fabric. You will learn how to bead in a block, add chenille gathering and combine stumpwork & goldwork. Beads applied include Swarovski lochrosen, seed beads (10 and 15/0), bugle beads, flat and sequins, all applied using the tambour hook.

You must complete the beginners course before this level. If you have some experience on another beginners course please get in touch with me.

Sunday 10-4pm

Please remember although you will be learning in a mixed technique group, your class is tailored specifically to your progress.
